First hitchhike in Quebec for me !After the last big intersection of Talbot Boulevard in Chicoutimi, direction Quebec / Mtl.
Practical for the possibility of sheltering from the rain at the SAQ Sélection.

Good to try, but sometimes you just can't get it there ! If you are out of the business hours, that's still the best one you can have.―Anonymous

Heading East, a bit further, but during business hours it might be more easy than the one on Marie-Victorin. It's in an industrial park.―Anonymous

There are not that many places where to hitch from in Montreal, but heading towards Ottawa (40W) this might prove a good try. I got a ride in a truck going to Pointe Claire. Very good when there is a lot of traffic as people can see you in the distance. They were very surprised to see a hitcher there. It is a bus stop for bus 100, which you can board at Crémazie metro station.―Anonymous

From Metro Longueuil (yellow line), the best is to take bus 81. The bus will cross the highway, go further and come back, so just ask the driver. The walk is about 10 minutes. It's also possible to take bus 83, same thing, just a bit longer of a walk.Never waited longer than 30 min.
