Practical for the possibility of sheltering from the rain at the SAQ Sélection.

There are not that many places where to hitch from in Montreal, but heading towards Ottawa (40W) this might prove a good try. I got a ride in a truck going to Pointe Claire. Very good when there is a lot of traffic as people can see you in the distance. They were very surprised to see a hitcher there. It is a bus stop for bus 100, which you can board at Crémazie metro station.―Anonymous

One of the few places in Montreal, easily accessible via bus (179 from L'Acadie Station), where you'll find a freeway entrance with a large shoulder. Good trafic, but often not going that far.―Anonymous

Standed their for 55 min , most of people will think u a homlesse or else even thoug i had a sign with quebec , people even eitheir open their window to give me money or close is thinking im gonna rob them lol anyway try to make eye contact with the driver showing them ur sign and even if u feel they fine talk to them , it did pay after almost an hour even thoug at the begining the driver see me but didnt make a move , he end up droping me at charlemagne where u git a ride under 1 min !―Anonymous
