Theoretically a perfect place to hitchhike. Most people are going in the right direction, the cars are moving slowly and there's lots of places to stop. Still, it didn't seem like anyone was going to stop for me.

In the end, I smiled and waved at someone and they stopped. They said they never took hitchhikers before.

There are two checkpoints and I recommend trying both. I had luck when I moved from the croatian side to the slovenian side.

The driver took me to the bridge near Kirk and I found a lovely spot to camp. Walk down to Plaža Črišnjeva (there is a bar if you want to refill water or treat yourself to a beer). Walk along the coastal path. I found a small rocky beach to sleep on for the night. Will mark it on the map!

Nice spot. There is a place for cars stop as they ride through gas station. Longer wait time; people going to nearby villages north short distance, or due to a lot of tourism and people having full cars.

Got a ride with the mayor of Malinska on Krk almost immediately at the traffic light.
A bit further to the back at the train station, the cars already seem to be going to fast.

are you sure you posted on right spot? This is road overpass where is actually forbidden to walk. And from where did you came there?

@ Cro Gavran: we were just south of the overpass, where there is a piec of extra asphalt from the onramp. We got there while hitching from Cres with a ride from Malinska.

there is a bus stop just a little further south I hitched from there and got a right onwards in about 30 minutes

Cars are going pretty fast, but there is enough space for stopping. They will see you from far away.

After here have a place ppl cam safe to stop. Cross the road is a car fix place. It's nice to stand here. Even they drive fast. But ppl cam see you from a bit distance also have big place can park. I got pick up by the person with the boat. He can totally park in the spot. I was going to Senj
