Started hitchhiking in the afternoon with a sign reading Split and a Slovenian guy took us all the way to Zadar where he offered us that he'll drive us to Zagreb the next day (it was late when we got to Zadar) which we happily accepted―kamens64

Great place if u want to head to Dubrovnik, less so if u want to head to Montenegro. On Friday, midday, we spend here more than 3hours waiting for a ride to Herzeg Novi, with a sign BUDVA/HERZEG NOVI. Lot of cars going to Dubrovnik, not so many cars going to Montenegro.―denisundav

That's very good spot to Trebinje. About 3-5pm there is a lot of people going back from work in Dubrovnik. This spot is also used by locals, there was like 4 guys hitchhiking, so I went down to Kaufland for some shopping, when I came back there were gone and I get a ride in about 10min. To get there I walked from Dubrovnik old town, there is an old road between the sea and main road. Quite long uphill walk, but views are amazing and spot for hitchhiking is worth it also.―mandat

I spent a night in a tent on Velki Zal beach, really nice spot. In the morning it was easy to get a ride to Dubrovnik, only con is that there is a curve and drivers can see you in last seconds.―mandat
