There is good place on buss stop, not much traffic in middle of week, but a lot of drivers stop.
Rumanian family gived a ride to center of Dubrovnik.
Very good ride, we stopped to steal some tangerines from fields)

That's very good spot to Trebinje. About 3-5pm there is a lot of people going back from work in Dubrovnik. This spot is also used by locals, there was like 4 guys hitchhiking, so I went down to Kaufland for some shopping, when I came back there were gone and I get a ride in about 10min. To get there I walked from Dubrovnik old town, there is an old road between the sea and main road. Quite long uphill walk, but views are amazing and spot for hitchhiking is worth it also.

I spent a night in a tent on Velki Zal beach, really nice spot. In the morning it was easy to get a ride to Dubrovnik, only con is that there is a curve and drivers can see you in last seconds.

It's not great, but it was the best place for me to stop from other ride. Also I took a break and visited a beach just below this parking and it was quite nice. To get more cars I was standing on the exit ramp from main road to parking, it is illegal in this road, but whatever, it worked. Cars are going really fast downhill, but it's manageable. I think in summer season the best way would be to just ask people who stopped on a break, it looks like quite popular viewpoint.

Asked a British couple as they were leaving the beach for a ride to the next town to catch a bus. Very friendly.

Nice spot, a lot of cars and space for them to stop. Also shadow from the trees which is great in summer

lots of tourists and people from all across Europe driving home to their families in SE Europe, but a lot of them are thightly packed. finally caught an albanian trucker who drove us all the way to Dubrovnik and evenb let us sleep in one of the cars he was carrying. If you go far its worth sticking around here, lots of potential

I was dropped off here after a long ride from Split. Not a great spot, lot of traffic, but felt like only people who go to the airport or to the local market are around. Better to get down to the airport and try your luck there. It's not that far even for walking. (I got my ride at the airport)

Best spot around, I had a sign saying Monte Negro, but not too many people, even who went there were willing to stop. Good traffic though, so I in the end found someone (they needed to convince me that they are not taxi and I needed to convince them that I am not looking for a taxi 😅)

Got a direct ride to Split on a Sunday. There are many bus stops where you can stand so that cars can stop easily
