There’s a bus stop on top of the hill, cars have time to see you. Only had a sign saying Bautzen, I was still picked up to go to Löbau. Not too much traffic but you should easily get a ride to Löbau, and you can take the bus if you really get stuck.―Anonymous

Actually hitched from there twice in two days because I forgot my wallet with my passport when I got into a Palestinian guy’s car. Thankfully he was just going to Germany to do some shopping and drove me back after I was stopped at the border and we cooked dinner together. Good spot to go North. Bus stop after lights so cars drive slowly. We used a sign Rumburk, got a lift in 3 minutes, friendly driver took us even a little further to Germany (we headed to Berlin). Probably could work even in the south direction on the opposite bus stop (to Prague or Mlada Boleslav). Heads up, hitchhikers!―PepaZ
