There’s a bus stop on top of the hill, cars have time to see you. Only had a sign saying Bautzen, I was still picked up to go to Löbau. Not too much traffic but you should easily get a ride to Löbau, and you can take the bus if you really get stuck.

Actually hitched from there twice in two days because I forgot my wallet with my passport when I got into a Palestinian guy’s car. Thankfully he was just going to Germany to do some shopping and drove me back after I was stopped at the border and we cooked dinner together. Next day a Czech truck driver took me to Zittau

Dont know the exact spot on the road, we just walked down with a sign after getting out of our sleeping spot(I recommend ear plugs here you’ll find out why). Got a ride almost immediatelly to Zgorzelec.

If you come here take a look around the town, everything revolves around the huge power plant. Try to look local though, got kicked out by security when looking aroud. They thought we are green peace. They also made us delete our photos lol.

Came at the wrong time, but I believe there can be a lot of good traffic in this place. A lot of space to stop for cars, although they drive pretty quicly.
