No longer a viable spot to catch the ferry, since the ferry is no longer taking off from this spot

Had a lot of luck. There are traffic lights slowing down the cars sometimes. But often they are getting stressed from behind. Good spot to get to Aarhus. Especially around 3-5 pm

Car ferries leave from the port and go to Odde... This is an excellent spot if you are heading to Copenhagen... You'll most probably get a lift all the way there...

Great spot with enough room for cars to pull over...

Good spot for going north west towards Viborg and Thisted. Visible to cars on the roundabout, with space to pull into the parking space.

Great spot for heading north to Aalborg/Fredrikshavn on the E45. There's enough time for the cars to see you and enough space for them to stop. Get the 25 bus to tilst vestervej and then walk along the viborvej for 5 mins.

good place if you are going to horsens or vejle. but only go if the car is taking you all the way because there are no good spots between.

Depending on when you arrive, you can either stand with a sign outside the waiting lines or you can go to the lines and ask for a ride.
Also, if your driver does not head towards Copenhagen, it is very easy to ask somebody onboard o they have a spare seat in their car:)

I go this way at least once a month. Just check the ferry schedule (mols-linien.dk) for ferries heading to Odden and show up half an hour in advance.
Make a KBH sign to be sure to get a lift all the way to copenhagen.

Waiting time here is not measured in minutes but in seconds. On an average winter weekday it takes less than a minute to get a lift.

Great spot, but my friend and I had to wait for 30 minutes.

I've hitchiked more than 20 times at this place :)
It's very easy and if you are more than 1 you can split and then ask the driver that will stop if he/she can carry more. Once we were split in 2+2 and a driver picked us all up! :)

Waiting time can be anything between 5 min (if you are picket up right away) and several hours (if noone picks you up for the ferry and you have to wait for the next). I have experienced both scenarios several times, but keep coming back because it's still the easiest way to get to Copenhagen.

I was waiting just 2 minutes for a car to Odense. On the northern ramp.

I have hitchiked 2 times at this place and catched the car in less than 30 seconds. Its good to wait just couple of metres in front of the check-in with the sign CPH.Check the ferry schedule at Mols-Linien website, it usually goes every hour.Remember to be there at least 30mins before the departure, so the cars have a chance to stop you. But once we have stopped the car 10mins before ferry departure. Its really easy to hitchhike there, but sometimes there is more groups of hitchhikers,so good luck :)

The best spot to get out of Aarhus. A lot of cars are going straight to Copenhagen from here.

It is not allowed to go into the car waiting area to ask people, but if you're there half an hour before the ferry leaves it isn't necessary. No worries, even if there are many other hitch hikers you're almost sure to get a lift.
