Great place to wait, just watch out for the trucks that sometimes use the dirt lane to turn (where you are probably standing). This highway ramp was opened in 2020 so disregard comments from before then

A guy and a girl on a Monday afternoon without a sign. This spot is good in theory : cars don't go that fast and there is place for them at the bus stop. We got a ride to Fleisberg after waiting quite a while.
Our driver seemed to be worried about our paper situation, so maybe people are scared of other people crossing the border here...

A guy and a girl on a Monday at noon without a sign. This spot should be ok, but we only got local traffic to Kolding. We got dropped at an even worst place... Might be better to ask around or wait for cars to Hamburg (HH plates).

A guy and a girl on a Sunday at noon without a sign. I don't see where the other person hitchhiked here, there is no place in the roundabout. There is a lot of traffix though, so we tried at the exit of the gas station; even though not a lot of people pass though the exit, at least we could also hitchhike the people in the roundabout. Eventually someone stopped - very unsafely - in the roundabout and brought us a bit north of the German border.

Had a lot of luck. There are traffic lights slowing down the cars sometimes. But often they are getting stressed from behind. Good spot to get to Aarhus. Especially around 3-5 pm

Perfect spot. Cars are slow because there are trafic lights shortly before. Theres a parkings spot and a lot of people go along this way to get to the highway

There’s place for the cars to stop and at that moment there was a traffic jam so all the cars were moving there very slowly.

Got a ride here directly towards Germany within seconds. No idea how the traffic is on other days, but on a Friday morning it was quite busy.

Nice place for hitching toward Copenhagen. There's a junction with traffic from Middelfart, and a huge resting area for private cars nearby the spot.

In my opinion, best place to get out of Kolding, going either north or east.

I have had more luck on Fynsvej at the gasstation.

There was not a lot of traffic at the gas stations, so I thumbed at the crossing with Bramdrupvej a bit down the road (there's a bus bay right after the stoplight). Got picked up in 15min to go east on the highway.

Definitely the best spot in that area

I tried to hitchhike here when coming from Vejle to Odense. Note that the right spot to hitchhike in here is a place where the cars can stop which is between this roundabout and the ramp that gives access to the Motorvej. Foreigners as me might get a bit confused, that's why I'm putting this note, but you may see that the roundabout isn't a safe place for them to stop and what I call "ramp" has signs saying "100km" so the cars are going quite fast in there, there's not much space for them to stop and it's also a curve :P
Anyways, I tried over an hour hitchhiking here, until I gave up. It was a Monday afternoon at it was a holiday. After I gave up, I hitchhiked towards the city center to try hitchhiking at the other spot marked here on hitchwiki (at the crossing of Fynsvej with Lyshøj Alle). There I waited less than 5min until I was picked up and driven all the way to my doorstep in Odense.

So, I'd say, don't insist much if you're not been lucky here: hitchhike towards the city center and try that other spot.
