I was standing right between the highway and the exit. A truck driver stopped briefly at the exit and gave me a ride. From my point of view, it was a very good spot, but it could also have been luck.―Anonymous

Lots of cars were full, but then I found a Romanian guy driving home. He was a bit sketchy, so I only went with him until Hamburg.―Anonymous

We were asking around towards Kastrup or airport, as we wanted to go to Ørestad, most cars were either full or they just didn’t want to take hitchhikers. Eventually a man was going to pick up his wife in the airport and dropped us off in front of our couchsurfing host’s house.―Anonymous

An amazing Danish pilot going to Copenhagen took us in his fancy ass Mercedes AMG. 😃 So even if it isn’t a perfect stopping place, if people wanted to they can. :)―Anonymous

Spent almost three hours asking people for a ride with my 'Hamburg' sign. Eventually I got tired and moved to the exit of the station area — within 20 minutes, I caught a ride to Rødby.―Anonymous

Got a ride all the way to bielefeld, germany with a sign saying germany, not a lot of cars stopping with my thumb up but eventually a man approached me while having lunch and he took me with him, great place to pet dogs as lots of people will walk them here―Mace

Decent spot, lots of traffic but unfortunately not that many people friendly enough to be happy to hear you out. Ended up standing by the exit of the gas station and got picked up by a couple who took me all the way to Maribo. Some people get lucky and get a ride to Rødby or even to Germany.
A sign definitely helps a lot!

gasstation. Last time leaving Copenhagen i wrote Koge on the cardboard, but asked to get off here. Saved me waiting time in Cph. Not always much traffic, depends on time of the day/year.―Anonymous

If you want to leave Copenhagen take the train to Koge and walk to this gasstation.I do so in November 2009 on my way to germany. You will find a lot of drivers but only a few are heading to the ferry. Get up early in the morning!

Perhaps it was luck for me or lack of luck for those above, but after about 20 minutes I got a ride pretty easily. The driver the brought me here suggested that I write "Germany" in English, so the other drivers would know I'm a foreigner on an adventure. My lift went almost all the way to the ferries, so he brought me to the ferry anyways.―Incogitatus

There is a gas station and a truck motel 5o meters north where you can ask for a lift if nobody stops.―Joschi
