Nice spot. Catch the morning or evening tragic if possible.

Honestly, we think this spot is overrated. If you’re heading for Germany there’s far fewer passers by that are heading for the ferries than expected. It’s a perfectly fine spot for hitchhiking in the general area and N/S along E47, but we waited for quite a long while for the amount of traffic heading by.

Relatively safe spot. There is room for the cars to stop, but larger cars might struggle.

We stood for five, maybe ten minutes, before being picked up. We we’re heading southwest to the ferries to Germany. We tried a few different spots nearby as well, but this was probably where most traffic was concentrated heading southwest along E20.

Very busy on the weekend. Many people are headed to Næstved though.

Very easy to get a ride to Copenhagen, and also good for going south towards the ferry to one of the ferries to Germany.

Gas station going south is a bit lame, but if you get stuck at Karlslunde on your way to Germany, it can be worth moving on to here.

I have hitchhiked from here a few times towards Copenhagen, with great success. I wish you luck 🙏

Low traffic volume BUT you can reasonably expect most (non-danish) cars to take the ferry in Rødby, where you don't pay extra for hitchhikers

We got a lift directly to the ferry in Gedser, because the driver of a car approached us right after we went inside the store (because of the rain).

Perfect place. Lots of cars. Opportunity to shower, charge, camp. Nevertheless I waited about 1.5h ob Saturday evening then I decided to camp and on Sunday I waited again for like 2,5h but I didn’t talked to people. I don’t know but when there are to much people I don’t really feel like asking around. Got a few offers 10-30 Kilometers and after 2.5h I decided to take the next offer and ended on a small station 20 minutes away

Had some good but expensive fries, asked 5 people and got a ride to rødbyhavn.

2 people, stood with DE sign at the exit. Quickly got a ride to Tappernoje rest area. The strategy was not to get stuck at the Rodby port but get a ride to Germany either from here or from the rest station Tappernoje.

Quite a bendy and uncomfortable road for hitchhiking, I'd recommend staying at Vindbyholt in bus stop if you are headed south, along the road very awkward places for cars to stop, little traffic, wait times of 40-70 minutes expected
