There's a small short time parking right next to the ferry drive out area. It's a great place to try to stop the car, but you have to be aware, that ferries only arrive once an hour. I've been hitchhiking from there every week the whole summer, have been able to get my ride every time :) Sometimes people were going to Rudkøbing, but mostly to Svendborg or Odense.―Anonymous
