Plenty of cars go to Porvoo. I hitched a boat to this place, and I had no trouble getting from here. You can be seen clearly, and there are plenty of locals and tourists going from the archipelago.―martih

Do you want to go to Finland and have experience of the lifetime? If yes, this is a place for you. Stand by the gate to the pier, there is only one and every boat owner need to come through it. Now just ask if somebody is going to Finland and maybe you will be lucky as I was.Few tips:

On Friday and weekend plenty of people are going to Finland and back
Summer is prime time
Looking clean is useful
Absolutely majority of boat owners don't wake up before 10 am.

Waited with "Kouvola" sign. About a fifth of the cars seemed to take the highway to the west (Kouvola/Mikkeli direction).Cars can stop at the bus stop and possibly by the ramp onto the highway. Got a ride to Porvoo (through Kouvola) eventually.
