Didnt like this spot. Cars drive so fast that is impossible to stop them even tho there is plenty of space. When i was there it was already getting dim so that added more difficulty. But one guy passed me and came back to take me to Haparanda which was amazing. But i suggest maybe trying other spots. Or maybe the dark was the problem. Also ofc traffic was very low―kiausiniuvagis

Probably it was super lucky but the first person we asked at the gas station if they are going north they took us to the swedish border. Exactly where we needed. Crazy luck. But a busy gas station but i think its more for the traffic towards north.―kiausiniuvagis

We got blocked for a bit by huge trucks who stoped on the bus stop. We got offered a ride to Calix because we wanted a ride to Tore. We had a sign for it but I think it was a mistake because its pretty small place so people do not know it. But another guy stoped and took us to Tore―kiausiniuvagis

Not a good spot, a lot of people go really fast and are angry at you, someone honked angrily and we even got one middle finger, after trying for hour and half, we lost hope, but after 20 minutes someone took us to Haparanda. A better hitchhiking spot probably doesn’t exist. It’s the entrance to the road that connects north to south Sweden. Tourists, locals, workers, really anyone going to Sweden has to take this E4 road. Stick your thumb out, or make sign if you really want to be specific, because this will help you get far into Sweden, wherever it may be. It might even be better if you take this road if you are planning to go to Kiruna or/and Norway, since the road from Töre has more traffic then the ones in Finland and the Swedish road next to the Torneå river. ==> highly recommend!―Tuunu

I went to this spot on a Sunday morning, so traffic was low but still flowing constantly. So this spot might be too busy on weekdays. However, drivers have space to stop and you are sure that almost all drivers will drive north from here.―Tuunu

This spot is hard to reach, but I think there's a legal place to stop here! It's a huge bus stop basically, but it's not an actual bus stop. It's called "Vändplats" It has the traffic sign that you aren't allowed to park there but you are allowed to stop there. Had a truck stop there for me and took me straight to Tornio!
