Some space for the cars to stop on the sidewalk, but hard to catch someone to St. Quentin. Would be maybe easier to go to the motorway.―Anonymous

I mean "... and go RIGHT to the road which leads to another roundabout." Sorry for this confusing mistake. I want to change the description but it doesnt work for some reason.―Anonymous

Take bus 9 going south to Croix Blanche or Centre Cial Amiens Sud. Walk down to the big roundabout, then take the exit toward the autoroute to get to the second roundabout. There is plenty of space here for even a big truck to stop. Elizlenz got a ride to Paris from here in February 2012 in less than 5 minutes.―Anonymous

It took me 1 hour to walk to this place and I waited 2 hours before a truck stopped and took me to Rouen and Angers. It was on friday at lunch time. Few cars.―Anonymous

If you get a lift to the train station in Amiens, you can follow the sign for Paris. After a littlle while you come to the street "Route de Paris". You follow this street, at a crossroad it changes to "Route d'Amiens" and you follow this one until you get to the first roundabout. You pass by this one and go left to the road which leads to another roundabout. There you can stand at the side, there is enough space for cars to stop and they have to slow down before the roundabout. If you are going to Paris it is perfect. I did this with a friend in this November and we got a lift after 20 minutes. I would say, this spot is good to very good! Good luck!―Anonymous

Though it is the only way from Amiens to go to Normandy, there are not many cars passing by this spot.―Anonymous
