The spot isn't the best if you want to go into the direction of Narbonne. Alot of the cars that stop were going into the city. Also there isn't really space to stop―Anonymous

Me and my girlfriend hitchiked here towards Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port (the beginning of Camino de Santiago) and when we told some friendly Basque truck driver from San Sebastian that we are pilgrims (peregrinos in Spanish), he made a D-tour and took us straight to S.J.P.D.P. :)He was going home to San Sebastian.

Big and clean service station with an ideal park to sleep in. Many trucks are french, but if you want to continue towards Pau or Bayonne look for spanish plates.―Anonymous

To Toulouse. Before a roundabout before the highway entrance, not so many people go to Toulouse strangelyThe area for cars to stop is a little dirty, not risky but weird...
The sun was setting so it was getting dark... We were lucky to find a driver before the night...

Probably the only adequate place to hitch from Toulouse, people go to Narbonne from here, don’t ask Carcassone if not necessary, but to get here might be problematic, you either hitch from the toll or going here step by step on a local road―Anonymous
