Avec le panneau PAU. Mais personne n'arrête. Qq m'a pris à l'entrée de l'autoroute Même s'il allait seulement à Portet.―Anonymous

The spot isn't the best if you want to go into the direction of Narbonne. Alot of the cars that stop were going into the city. Also there isn't really space to stop―Anonymous

It's a huge service station, so I wanted at the end where every car was passing by and found a ride to Toulouse! but you can go to a lot of directions!―pollo

Expected to wait shorter, i think it was bad luck, but got a ride to Toulouse. We waited 50 meters up the stopspot and got many reactions from people going not out direction. I think its the best spot to get to toulouse direction―zare

Not a great spot, very little time for the cars to see you and a lot of people are just going to the other side of the city. Eventually found a car going to Paris that dropped us in Caussade―Peddy42

Generally a lot of traffic and easy to ask cars by the petrol station or the restaurant. Started asking people at 5.30pm and only got a ride at 9.30pm.Maybe we were not lucky because the highway to Toulouse was closed off because of the wildfires.
Eventually this very sweet couple took us and actually gave us a ride to the doorstep of our friend's house, so that was amazing!

Bad spot if you want to go to the city, it's not accessible by foot. However, I met a few people that told me they were going to the highway.―Anonymous

Really little traffic but I was lucky and a trucker took me to Toulouse.―Anonymous

On a finalement renoncé à partir.―Trevolyn

Does anybody actually enjoy hitching from a peage? I know I certainly don't! As a hitchhiker I prefer sticking to small country roads, I find it a lot more relaxed. Most importantly, though, it doesn't sit in a legal grey area like peages do.The “service station” consists of a tap and a toilet, no thrills here, so no cars stop. This means that you're going to be hitching straight from the gate. Luckily, in the Toulouse direction it's possible to stand just behind the “no pedestrians” sign and still be seen from the road, which certainly feels a little bit better than dancing with traffic.
The man who dropped me off give me materials to make a sign, and I think that went a very long way towards helping me get a ride quickly. I wouldn't like to be thumbing here!
Big thanks to the three lovely Algerian workmen on their way home to Toulouse in their car who's back window is held shut with duct tape. Your kindness made my afternoon.

To Bayonne, good spot but only the cars that stop to go to te toilets can really see you... Got lucky I guess, but not bad at all honestly. Got to jump a little fence, nothing too crazy―vlad2l2t

Very good spot. Not that easy to reach, I had to walk across the nearby corn field. With a "Montpellier" sign I found a truck driver who took me to Narbonne toll station―Wattmoon

Very good spot. I always leave Montpellier from there. You can go to the west (Béziers, Narbonne, Toulouse, Perpignan...) or the east and north (Nîmes, Marseilles, Lyon ...)This time I had a sign "Toulouse" and got a ride directly to Frouzins (south west of Toulouse). A guy solo with just one place. This day I hitchiked with a French girl going from Marseilles to Toulouse. We had to separate since the guy had just one place. If you read this message, I hope you got a lift and could manage to reach Toulouse on time ;)―Wattmoon
