Busy roundabout with , make sure you have a visible sign. Drivers will do the circle to safely pull over. Lots of friendly hand waves from people not stopping.

Stand on Avenue Des Voges on the roundabout side of the cross walk, facing ADV (not the roundabout). Nowhere for cars to stop in the roundabout, plenty of traffic from ADV.

Good spot, you can get here by train. By the entrance gate there is a gate for people on foot. There is a chain attached but you can squeeze through. We waited completely at the end to get the most people and had a ride within 5 minutes to luxembourg.

We tried it at the Goldene Bremm at first but the police was patrolling there. Solid spot but we waited around 2,5h for a lift to Strasbourg.

Take the train to Stephansfeld or Brumath and then walk to this gas station

Good spot for going further down into the Alsace, over to Germany or even down to Switzerland if you're lucky.

Nice and calm station with nice people. Great towards North. There are plenty of local drivers stopping here and they are very kind. But eventually, we got a lift by a German woman an her son, to Verdun! 2 persons (me & my girlfriend), dir. Paris, Sunday 5 mins

Very good to the north. From Strasbourg station, take a train to Stephansfeld (direction of Saverne), 9 min, 3€80 without reduction, but just one station, possible no to take a ticket. From Stephansfeld station, go under the tunnel to cross the tracks. Then, you see 4 different ways. You take the second from your right, a path, without shield, without fence, really in front of you. Then, you walk in the forest, 10-15 min and then, the gas station. There is a small fence to jump over, but sometimes also a hole. I waited there 15-20 min.

There are traffic lights. You can ask for Bitche. Place for cars to stop. If you continue along this road there'll be a big roundabout (to Strasbourg (A4) or Germany)

For thumbing to the North/to Paris. There's not much traffic, but you can still get a ride (in 30-60 minutes). If you speak French, it's better to go to the petrol station and ask the drivers.

Good calm, station but not too many people towards Paris or with full cars. Ended up getting a lift from a truck driver to the toll gate 10km from there.

2 girls
