Chill gas station, not hat many cars but lots of international plates. Had a sign Chambery, got ride to after Grenoble at the third car passing. Should be quite easy to get rides direction Geneve or Italy too.―Anonymous

A good place to leave Romans towards Valence or further. I usually stand with a sign, or just with the thumb and passing by the cars while they wait at the traffic lights. A good option is to ask to be left at the gas station Aire de Bayanne where you can more easily find people to the A7.―Anonymous

the spot directly behind the cash station is pretty good. you can go in both directions form there and its easy for cars to stop and everybody will see you. only thing is, that there is not really a lot of traffic.―Anonymous
