Generally a lot of traffic and easy to ask cars by the petrol station or the restaurant. Started asking people at 5.30pm and only got a ride at 9.30pm.Maybe we were not lucky because the highway to Toulouse was closed off because of the wildfires.
Eventually this very sweet couple took us and actually gave us a ride to the doorstep of our friend's house, so that was amazing!

Great spot, cars have a good chance to stop there. You have to walk a bit from the roundabout to this spot (appr. 10 min) beware of that. Also at the roundabout people told us where to go, so it is quite a known spot.Can really recommend it!

Someone dropped me there. Not the best stop to go to Carcassonne but still someone stopped to give me a ride to the highway which was much easier. At least there is space for the cars to stop.―hitchnini

Really often I come from Bordeaux to Perpignan (and return)!I go out the petrol station, cross the tunnel in the south (400m) and go to the other side!
And all the time, it work really go (better than try to find a car Perpignan->Toulouse and vice versa)
