Great spot for north ride on the highway. The rest area is big and we just asked for people on the parking. Third car took us to Bordeaux. We were two with a dog.―Anonymous

Not a good spot. We waited there because it’s the entrance of the highway to go north but cars go fast, there is a passage to stop but in a turn. We were lucky a guy took us to the first stop on the highway.―Anonymous

Not the best spot to go north. We waited just before the toll with a sign "Bordeaux" and took the first car who stopped. Unfortunately it was not the good direction, we've been left 10 minutes further on a highway exit which was not convenient for us. We were two with a dog.―Anonymous

We chose this road to go north to Bordeaux instead of the entrance to the higway and got a direct lift after 5 minutes. About one hour walk from the centre of the city.―Anonymous

We were dropped here at night (22:00) and managed to still catch a ride into the netherlands. Good spot there is a sitting area in front of the gas station were you can confidently sit with a sign and ask the drivers as they park right in front of you. I think we got lucky because the drivers felt sorry for us.―TajineMachine

Was dropped of at the other toll spot (near D28 by soorts hossegor) so had to go back to this one. That was a bit tricky as the walking roads to the place are fenced (climb). Once there though I got a ride to Bordeaux quickly. She even offered to drive me to nantes.―Anonymous

Waited with a sign for Bayonne for a bit and found a ride for an exit 10km before it, there is little space for cars to stop but it is definitely doable―Zoelio
