With a sign for Montpellier I got a ride with a man coming back from his holiday home near Bordeaux where he picked had picked up a hitchhiker to Toulouse! He was only going to Carcasonne so I got dropped off at a service station right before.―Arcturus

I literally was walking to find a spot with a little bit of space with my sign for Toulouse under the overpass towards France and as soon as I put up my sign, the second car stopped. Turns out they were an Italian couple going to Turin but they dropped me off in Toulouse.―Arcturus
