the traffic was not best, i tried all three streets but liked this one the best, there is a spot where car can stop just after the stop sign, so plenty of time for drivers to decide―Veless

Good spot to HH. Good traffic, at least 8 car/min. Quite an adventure to reach the gas station from Paris. Metro, RER, a bus and 45min walk in the sun but worth it. I climbed a 180cm wall to get into the station but there is some kind of hole in the metallic fence that can be used too. I waited 1h10 with my thumb and a sign to Orleans and Clermont Ferrand. There was a lot of family with full cars, foreigners (NL, B, D) and french. I got luck and found a car heading to Toulouse.I recommend wondering around and asking people I they will accept you in their car.

Very crowded service area, the first after Paris. Asking around or holding your thumb up, both work very well there.―WhinniePuuh

Decent spot. Just take your time and make sure people are really going your way. People don't know the area well, and the highway is splitting into 3 different roads : N104, A10 and later A11.―WhinniePuuh

Great spot, it doesn't look like it but it was really easy (at least for me) to get a ride―tueur2kantiens

Was heading towards Belgium and didn't want to enter Paris. Had a pannel "Vers Bruxelles" which was quite ambitious but in the end it worked, a ddrievr took me all the way until Lille, avoiding crossing Paris with public transportation under the heatwave. I put myself at the end of the pétrole station and waited. Good traffic on the station―Adrien44

I went to the end of the pétrole station trying to get all the traffic that was pretty low thought...In the end I catch a ride with a truck driver until Limours area avoiding me to enter Paris. Best spot in my opinion to go to Paris, used multiple times, maybe best to ask directly to drivers

Great spot a lot of cars but not accessible from the forest side, so you need to go over the fence, I’m actually teared my backpack.Got a ride from a routier to Limoges in 5 min under the rain.

I waited about 5 minutes at the exit of the station, with a sign saying "A10", and got a lift to Chatellereault (near Poitiers). A few cars even stopped before that but were not able to help me. Many people heading to the south, and a lot of truckers are resting. Go ahead and ask them, many of them go to Spain ! 👍―Oxyd23
