On paper, this is a great spot, with an enormous amount of traffic. For some reason, though, I didn’t have much luck here. This may have been because I was trying to get to Avignon, which probably wasn’t a very common destination from here. In the end, I changed my sign to “n'importe où” (anywhere), and within 5 minutes I got a ride to a nearby seaside town.

Great place, there's a safe place to stand and cars can stop. The cars don't go fast, as we were standing before the toll. We (woman and man) got a ride to Montpellier in under an hour (weekday in mid-August).

Really easy spot, lots of traffic when we were there.
Also there is no need for finding a hole in a fence, when you come from the way and arrive at the fence just go left and you can get to a hoppable barrier.
We went to talk to the people at the gas pumps and got a ride fast with an Austrian couple going to Andorra.

Great space with lots of space to pull over when heading south. I had no sign so about 3 people pulled over who were going short distances before I got a ride to a town near Toulouse.

i'd say ~50% go in the direction marseille, 40% in the direction nimes, montpellier and 10% some places inbetween the upcoming highway-split
found a ride in the morning to montpellier quite quickly
also true: great spots to camp and spend the night
not true anymore: dumpster accessability

Me, my LOVE and our dog were here for quite a long time and were prepared to sleep in the Forrest for the night. However at the most unexpected time a car stopped and took us to La Junquera even though we had a sign with Perpignan. But since on the way and our destination is Portugal we took it! Lucky us since we are two with backpacks and a dog……:)

Good spot, waited a bit longer than expected, but worth it. A couple took us to Perpignan, directly in front of our accomodation. We (2) had a sign Perpi, because of space in our notebook.

Good place, next to parking, cars going slow and have space to stop. Lot of cars going to Marseille direction or Montpellier. One guy took us (2) from here to toll behind Montpellier, which wasn’t the best idea, because of legality and cars start going there faster. So we jumped the fence and found another place where it was much more safer and comfy. Try to stay on highway if you go long distances and petrol stations as well. Had a sign Montpellier

Hard spot to go north direction Valence/Lyon. Should be quite easy to go to Nimes or direction Marsaille. I couldn't manage for my life to get anyone who was going past Nimes in my direction. Christmas days, lots of full cars and pouring rain. I gave up and got a ride into the city of Montpellier (which was easy).
