Not a very convenient spot for the cars to stop because it’s in a turn but you have space, some cars can just honk at the car that will stop for you but it’s safe. A lot of traffic, so it was easy to get a ride to Salon-de-Provence to get closer to Nîmes.

I came here around 7 pm on a Monday, got a lift to Marseille after less than 10 mins. However, cars go fast here and I feel like it was my luck.. Nice spot 🍀

Seems like a good spot to hitchhike north to Avignon, Lyon or Paris - wide shoulders, cars taking the intersection slowely... But we waited for 2 hours and eventually gave up and changed our spot to the northern exit from Aix.

Take the A8 (=La provencale) if you want to go to Frejus/Nice (because if you take the D7n you will have to stop a lot of times). I did hitch Hiking from here tot frejus in more than 4 houres (so that's to much for just 100km). Take the A8!
