Not much traffic, but a random guy asked us if we’re going to Marseille and took us there. We also had a sign “Mars” but here you can stop anyone anyway.―TwoThumbsTravel

Nice spot, lot of traffic, helpful people. A guy from Monaco took us really quickly to another gas station before Aix-en-Provence, close to Marseille.―TwoThumbsTravel

Arrived there in the afternoon, had to ask quite a few people before getting a ride to Marseille. The people seemed to be unusually suspicious.―Kkmm

Got here in the middle of the night. This station is pretty small, and to make it worse the shop is being remodelled so the facilities are provisional. Mind you, the petrol station is NOT nonstop. There is a small park next to the parking place where some suspicious looking people were already sleeping by the time I installed my sleeping bag on one of the picnic tables. Had the worst sleep (well, lack of it) ever but got picked up the next morning by a nice old lady who stopped for a coffee.―Anonymous

Great spot to get to Brue Auriac, Barjols or Varage. I never waited longer than a few minutes.―Anonymous

Don't stop at the 'Peage de la Barque" !!! There is nothing to stop cars, we waited 2 hours with my friend (we were two boys) and someone stopped just to take something in his car case, and wd begged him to take us... Fortunately he took us―Anonymous

No luck here, a driver dropped us off and convinced us it's a good spot. Mostly local traffic, not headed to highway. After a while we had to walk down the road to next roundabout (much better spot), no luck stopping somebody on the way.―kornumic

Good place to hitchhike to Nice, a lot of shadows. We wanted to get to La Ciotat and had to refuse a lot of cars―kornumic

Waited here for twenty mintes until a kind family took me to a gasstation close to Marseille. I think it’s a great spot to go to Marseille, though I wasn’t planning on going into Marseille.―Oaklog

If you're going to Marseille great spot, to go east is much harder, in the end I accepted a ride on the way to Aix―Peddy42

It is illegal as all péages in France, but it got me a ride pretty fast to Frejus with a sign Cannes :)―Peddy42

Was hitchhiking at the end of the gasstation for about ten minutes until a mother and her daughter picked me up. I was heading to the Netherlands and they happened to be going all the way to Dijon. I got lucky, so I don’t actually know if it is a good spot for heading north.―Oaklog
