Bad spot if you want to go to the city, it's not accessible by foot. However, I met a few people that told me they were going to the highway.

DIRECTION TOULOUSE - MONTAUBAN
Gastation still a good way to find a driver...

This is the péage for the highway to the North, Bordeaux, Limoges, Paris... Most of the people going far north will see you there and stop thanks to the toll ;)

Easy to stop and to halt on the west side.

it is a huge toll gate, with barriers, so it's not so easy to wait right at the tollbooths. but there is a little resting area just after where cars can stop. i had to climb over a door and cross the whole toll gate to reach this point.

The red door is closed but it is really easy to climb over the fance. Met another hitchhiker there and we got away right away.

In the beginning of september 2011, works/constructions on the bus line are over. You can now go to the bus stop "La Vache". To go to the toll ("péage" in french), I had to go quite easily over a wall (you will see broken wire fences).
No problem to hitchhike at this place which is good.

In 10 min, I got a ride to the next "péage" just before Montauban: that was a mistake because toll workers forbid me to hichhike there. Therefore, I advise you to get a lift directly to the peage in the north of Montauban because it is only a tickets toll so there is not any worker. The best way is to catch a car going further in the North (Limoges, Châteauroux, Orléans, Paris)

This is a huge toll gate. For direction to South it devides the traffic for A62 (East of Toulouse) and A620 (West of Toulouse). I was said that most of the traffic for South uses A62.

Now the handle from door was missing. You have to go back 50 meters and cross the fence (1,5m high) - it's easy and then walk back towards the toll gate/péage.

From the center of Toulouse, You can use a subway + bus to go to this toll gate
The bus 60 from subway "La Vache" until the bus station "Laparou" after take the dead end in the other side until a whole, on the right, after a little hill, you will see 2 doors, the right door is open to the toll gate !!! (precision : the busline is temporarily under construction around this busstation, you will walk just a little more about 200 meters)
