Taken by Jérémy. A lot of local people that doesn't go that far.

Long to reach, just like all the good spots to get out of Paris.
I also had three offers for a ride to Meaux, which can be interesting since cars have to cross the toll to get there.

I got taken there from Reims. Very little traffic, I thought I was gonna be there for long, but someone stopped and took me to a banlieu of Paris after about 15min

Standing there (2 people) with a sign over an hour, and many who stopped went only a very short distance until one was willing to take us to the Aire des Ferrières.

A bit long to get here but simple (just RER to Bussy St George and just walk, better than going to Vémars).
A kind worker took us (we were 2) to the station near the end.
We found an old couple who took us to Reims, good people.
Good place to go east, I also want to try if by I can go to Brussel easier from Paris by starting here compared to Vémars maybe.

Waited around an hour with a sign that said Germany, changed it to Reims and got a ride in 45 minutes. It was raining which made the wait unpleasant and long.

To get here from Paris take RER Bussy-Saint-Georges and then walk All. des Bois de Bussy to get on the south side of the highway, then just jump the fence and walk couple hundred meters along the highway to the Aire.
We were 2 guys waiting near the exit from the Aire with a sign for Reims and a guy eating lunch approached us saying he could take us to exit 21 for Dormans but when he realised there were not many people passing by this peage he offered he could take us to Reims or to Epernay train station. We chose the latter and got a sightseeing tour of the city and region, then took a train to Reims.

> A4 Reims, Metz, Strasbourg, Germany and Luxembourg

reach this gas station from Bussy Saint Georges RER A train station, then walk through the industrial area of Bussy, then cross onto the bridge, then follow for some hundred meters in the grass along the A4.

25-30 minutes wait.

Best point for getting out of Paris - 45 min by RER

The Péage is not far from here.

Once you get out of Paris, this is the best place to start off

Well, little chance to get a ride to the centre, I suggest to accept rides to the outskirts. E.g. Bussy-Saint-Georges, where you can take the RER and get to the centre more easily.
2 persons (me & my girlfriend), dir. 14th district, Sunday, 30 mins

Forget about the walk, you can easily go to the petrol station from the center. Simply prepare a board with station à 2km and hitch from the roundabouts close to the RER station ;) Anyway, I hitched there three times and didn't found this spot excellent...
