Trying to get to Aire de Vémars, found a car driving to Cologne on a early Saturday morning.Accessible from metro station Montreuil Hôpital, walk to Rue de la Chasse the closest you can get to the gas station entrance. There's a pretty low wall you can climb over and maybe even a pathway, but I didn't see it in the dark. Be extra careful when walking the last 100 meters over the gas station entrance.

We were trying to get a ride to get into A3, which later connects to A1 (we are going to Köln). We decided to try this spot since was quite close from our accommodation, but no luck, only 1 car stopped to tell us that we better go to Port de la Chapelle, as here we wouldn’t find a ride. There’s not many space for a car to stop, as is after a round point and drivers are more worried about the traffic lights around.―Anonymous

I agree that it's a really weird spot and it was mostly locals but there's space to stand at the side of the turnaround (if a bit windy, also no shelter, so not a spot for bad weather) and cars can stop too. With a sign to Paris we (2ppl) found a ride to Aulnay within half an hour and from there taking the train into Paris proper was pretty easy (and cheap.)―thebeekeeper

A bit long to get here but simple (just RER to Bussy St George and just walk, better than going to Vémars).A kind worker took us (we were 2) to the station near the end.
We found an old couple who took us to Reims, good people.
Good place to go east, I also want to try if by I can go to Brussel easier from Paris by starting here compared to Vémars maybe.
