We wanted to go to Dunkerque on a Saturday morning (of a weekend where they celebrate the big carnival) to make it to the worldwide-seagull competition and had no luck. I agree that it's a really weird spot and it was mostly locals but there's space to stand at the side of the turnaround (if a bit windy, also no shelter, so not a spot for bad weather) and cars can stop too. With a sign to Paris we (2ppl) found a ride to Aulnay within half an hour and from there taking the train into Paris proper was pretty easy (and cheap.)―thebeekeeper

A bit long to get here but simple (just RER to Bussy St George and just walk, better than going to Vémars).A kind worker took us (we were 2) to the station near the end.
We found an old couple who took us to Reims, good people.
Good place to go east, I also want to try if by I can go to Brussel easier from Paris by starting here compared to Vémars maybe.
