Good place, next to parking, cars going slow and have space to stop. Lot of cars going to Marseille direction or Montpellier. One guy took us (2) from here to toll behind Montpellier, which wasn’t the best idea, because of legality and cars start going there faster. So we jumped the fence and found another place where it was much more safer and comfy. Try to stay on highway if you go long distances and petrol stations as well. Had a sign Montpellier―Anonymous

Hard spot to go north direction Valence/Lyon. Should be quite easy to go to Nimes or direction Marsaille. I couldn't manage for my life to get anyone who was going past Nimes in my direction. Christmas days, lots of full cars and pouring rain. I gave up and got a ride into the city of Montpellier (which was easy).―Anonymous

Good if you are heading south.For traveling north to Montpelier, i wouldn't suggest this. Took almost 2 hours. Cars are slow when exiting the peage but then speed up rapidly to cross into their preferred lane, and as the northbound side is on the left, it's difficult for them to stop. Got a trucker ignore all the mess behind him who picked me up, luckily.

Great spot, cars have a good chance to stop there. You have to walk a bit from the roundabout to this spot (appr. 10 min) beware of that. Also at the roundabout people told us where to go, so it is quite a known spot.Can really recommend it!

Great petrol station with supermarket! We wanted to get to the beach south of Montpellier and got a ride after 15 minutes. We only talked to two people who were directly willing to take us. Decided for the ones who could drop us off at the beach! Great spot!―MedSea

From Cap Rousillon, fairly easy to get to, just ignore google telling you to walk for over an hour and cut the field after passing D900. Tried to go for Lyon/Paris but noone picked us up for 1,5h. We got a ride 20mins after changing it to Montpellier. Tons of space to stop.―wojtekox

Very easy and fast to get a ride (was standing with a sign to Lyon after the last roundabout) but ask where exactly the driver is going before getting in the car as the guy who picked me up said he's not going all the way to Lyon and then on the way said he's going to Nice and can bring me to the next Aire which was very small and impossible to get out of.―Anonymous
