Just arriving in town, we directly found a car to the Morvan moutains from here in only 5 minutes. Anyway, if you don't find cars near the train station (train station is always a good spot if you want to hitchhike from the city centers), you gotta walk around 30min until the exit of the town.―Anonymous

In direction of towns up north and Paris. Ok let's be honest, you're in the center of france, which means not many traffic. We (my gf and I) tried hitchhiking in this region for a weekend during the winter season. There were few cars on a sunday afternoon, few of them only going enough far away from this town. Indeed, be patient, it can only works. You've got enough space, people can see you well, there are lights if you have to hitch in the dark. Remember this road is a free motorway, so you may ask for the toll station 40-50km up north which is a better option to find a car going to Paris. No service station between...―Anonymous
