Third car stopped, with sign "A6 aire de lisses", very good spot to find a ride to the aire de lisses, where you can easily get longer drive. As someone said theres not much space for cars to stop, but if you're fast and you can jump in. There's also traffic lights where it might be easier.―Iaclem

The spot here and the roundabout are not to bad. But unfortunately i couldnt get a ride for 2hrs there, even thought there where plenty of cars.Had to reach aire de limours-janvry. I went there with a bus and than I hitchhiked 5km and climbed about the fence. There i could find someone fast

Was heading towards Belgium and didn't want to enter Paris. Had a pannel "Vers Bruxelles" which was quite ambitious but in the end it worked, a ddrievr took me all the way until Lille, avoiding crossing Paris with public transportation under the heatwave. I put myself at the end of the pétrole station and waited. Good traffic on the station―Adrien44

I went to the end of the pétrole station trying to get all the traffic that was pretty low thought...In the end I catch a ride with a truck driver until Limours area avoiding me to enter Paris. Best spot in my opinion to go to Paris, used multiple times, maybe best to ask directly to drivers

Maybe we were lucky but we thought it would be much more difficult to get a ride to Paris from the comments above. We had a sign and waited just before the toll, there is space for cars coming on the right line to stop. Because there is only a onramp no oframp I tried hitching to the next one. Road seemed a bit dodgy to walk. Gave up after 16 minutes and took the long hike to the onramp with the three roundabouts. Try to get dropped of there in the first place, because it's not an easy route.―Chris9012

I would advise against hitchhiking here. Although there were a lot of cars, I waited a long time with a sign "A5 Sens/Troyes". There was a homeless man asking the cars at the traffic light for money, and there was no place for them to stop except there.―Thibaud

It takes a long time to get to the station, we walked 35 min from Sarges Les Le Mans after 20min of bus from Le Mans trainstation but this spot is perfect ! A really big station si it was quite intimidating to ask people at first but the third person we asked took us and even brang us to the train station ( not on their road). I waited about 5 minutes at the exit of the station, with a sign saying "A10", and got a lift to Chatellereault (near Poitiers). A few cars even stopped before that but were not able to help me. Many people heading to the south, and a lot of truckers are resting. Go ahead and ask them, many of them go to Spain ! 👍―Oxyd23

I waited there about 2 hours on a wednesday afternoon, but I think that it is pretty decent for Paris. Initially I had a sign with A10 / Bordeaux / Aire de Limours written on it, but then I switched to keep only A10 and much more cars stopped, until I was taken to the Limours gas station. Nice shady little wating spot, with space for cars to stop. Good luck 😉―Oxyd23
