It’s really a bad place with only like 10 trucks - I, solo female, started feeling unsafe quickly but I got extremely lucky and found two very nice truck drivers who offered me food and coffee and after waiting with them until their break was over (4 hours😭) because no one else would take me / my motivation to ask truck drivers in the rain was not so high either they took me to orleans. But on the positive side it’s walkable distance to some small city so you’re not completely lost in the wild as I felt at first.―Anonymous

Had à sign Poitiers and nobody took so we decided to up our thumb and someone nice who had nothing to do of their afternoon (bc blocked outside of home) helped us reach the nearest peage. We waited for 2 hours so I would not recommand―Lulin

That's the rocade D10. Easy for taking A10 in every direction (especially North (to Paris) and South (Bordeaux - Spain). There's a traffic light in both directions. Nice spot. Keep hichtmap alive please !! 🙌🏻―Anonymous

Good spot to go on the A10 (direction north or south). The cars can stop easily and without danger. I didn't have a sign but cars quickly stopped.―Manzana

good spot direction east, just after roundabout, lot of space to stop, a lot of lamps so hitchiking in night is also possible (we waited there in night for about 5minutes and then we catched a ride almost to Nevers!―Anonymous

I arrived at the station around 1am.Not much traffic, I didn't find any lift that night but in the station there is a small empty room (with light and running radio though) where I could sleep. The employee were really friendly and relaxed.
The next day I found within 10minutes a ride to Limoges. Good one!

If you are southbound cross the street before the paypoint. trucks come her from the A10 and take the national route to bordeaux. I think that's the best way. When i figured out the trick it took me only like 15mins... I met a guy once at the roundabout before the paypoint who had waited alrteady over a day...―Anonymous
