I must say we got so lucky on this one, there is place to stop for cars, but there is no traffic at all, only 5 cars passed in 30 minutes, we tried to hitchhike on the main road for a while, but the cars go way to fast and there is no place to stop, luckily one lady saw us hitchhiking on the main road and decided to head back for us at the next exit and it turns out she is going to the exact same place we wanted to go to.―Anonymous

Gare de Péage de Phalsbourg - got a direct ride to Nancy and on my way back to Karlsruhe. Seems to be a good place. To Nancy, stay at the end of the little parking zone, that many people can see you. To Strasbourg just before the toll station works nice.―Anonymous

Spot for Strasbourg.Just a small dirt spot for picking up, but the cars are driving slow, and plenty of traffic from the city and McDonalds.

Hitchhike a truck to strasburg. Many trucks going to germany. I got there at night. I missed half of the trucks by being ready at 7. Start earlier!A french trucker told me iti s frequented by many truck drivers going to germany. Maybe you should be smarter and wait for one instead of going to strasbourg.

We got kicked out of the toll station by the cops after 2 minutes, so we positioned ourselves at the end of the N4, on the zebra. My brother waited ~20 minutes with a sign PARIS and found a car to Saint Avold. I waited 5 minutes with a sign STRASB. and was taken very quickly.―Anonymous
