Really quick hitch towards Strasbourg. Truck can't ride during weekends, but some personal cars stop here as well.―Anonymous

Asked one Person for going to Nancy. Said yes. Then drove to Metz.So not 5 stars for logistics but otherwise great spot for asking around. At least you will go more west.

Cars can stop easily behind you at a gas station thingy. You have a clear view at the Cars and they are not fast yet. But be aware for the buses ( they come super close to the walking side)Wanted to go to Nancy, a person took me to the next Peage to A4. Worked great.

Gare de Péage de Phalsbourg - got a direct ride to Nancy and on my way back to Karlsruhe. Seems to be a good place. To Nancy, stay at the end of the little parking zone, that many people can see you. To Strasbourg just before the toll station works nice.―Anonymous

We got kicked out of the toll station by the cops after 2 minutes, so we positioned ourselves at the end of the N4, on the zebra. My brother waited ~20 minutes with a sign PARIS and found a car to Saint Avold. I waited 5 minutes with a sign STRASB. and was taken very quickly.―Anonymous
