this seems the best way out of Paris without standing on the side of the road. We were 3 people, so we wanted somewhere good. as others say, you can access it via a bus. walk to the end of the wall and through some bushes and voìla. we got a lift to Aire de Ressons, an hour or so north, towards Lille. there were lots of people here.

Easy ride out to A1 toward north and Belgium , some traffic and trafic light for cars to stop. Picked up in 20 with a cardboard that said A1. Should be easy to get north once you are on a highway stop

I already used this spot to go to Lille but it is not that good after all, a lot of people are going to the airport and you can get stuck. Try Aire de Vémars Est if you want to go north it is way better

Attente inexistante. Plein de gens sortaient de la boutique. Le premier couple à qui j’ai demandé m’a pris!

Not to much traffic, plenty of space to stop. Got a direct ride to Paris.

A guy and a girl without a sign. We got there quite late, at 11.30pm, and tried to get to "Aire de Limours/Briis sous forge" south of Paris from here.
Did not work at all : some people were trying to help us, but only went to morth-east of Paris, and there was no one there after 1am so we went to sleep. The staff was very friendly and offered us some pain au chocolat and hot chocolate because the machine didn't work well for us, and we could set the tent at the back of the restplace without anyone bothering us at all. In the morning we waited one more hour before somebody took us to Saint-Denis' train station, as everybody else ignored us.

Nice spot to go north if the door is open (it was in my case). A lot of local cars but it is possible to find someone for lille

Cars are going very fast,
for us not even ten minutes past,
before a friendly driver slowed
and added us to his load.
This spot is good for Beauvais
or anywhere north on your way,
just be sure to bring a sign
and youll leave paris in no time :)

Took us to champs-élysées. Good spot to go into the city, just ask around cars stopping to get gas and look for 75 license plates. 20min wait.

It seemed to be the best spot (under the bridge bus stop). Waited 2h till someone picked me up and went to Lille. Lots of homeless people around the place.

Worst spot I've ever been to. Place is hard as fuck to get there, I almost fell multiple times cause the ground was all muddy. There was no traffic at all and people don't go north to far, the closest I found was Charles de Gaulle with a sign marked "A1"! I'll never go there again.

The door was not open, but you can follow the wall/fence until it ends, climb down a small hill towards the autoroute and then jump the (second, smaller) fence. Sounds more complicated than it ended up being, the fence is even a little bent down and there's trees to help. Lots of local cars but I still found people going through Lille to Mons within 15 minutes. Would definitely recommend this spot to get out of Paris to the North.

Free toilets (thank you, France) and a busy gas station with lots of traffic to Lille and Paris. Look out for cars with the numbers 75 for Paris proper or 91/92/93/94/95 for the suburbs. Found a ride to St-Denis in less than half an hour. Generally really helpful and friendly folks there.

From Paris to the A1 (motorway to Calais or Belgium). My friend was asking the cars at the petrol station and I was standing with the cardboard saying "Lille" and "A1". There are two petrol stations in 30 meters, but not a lot of people seem to go to the motorway from them. Despite of all a car took us after 30 minutes. To get here you can catch a metro, line 1, to Port de la Chapelle (1,50 euro).
