we stopped here trying to get a lift onward to services north of Lyon. instead, we got picked up and went straight to Grenoble, our destination. it was a Sunday, so maybe more chance of travel.―Alifeee

Walked from two previous unsuccessful spots (got dropped on the wrong side of town and had to take a tram) and was picked up immediately. I should have been more selective because the ride didn't take me very far. I was just excited to get out of the sun and into an air conditioned car. I think this would be a good spot for going northeast out of town.―Anonymous

People go fast at the exit but there is a lot of cars and enough place to stop. 2 cars stop in 5 minutes but the first didn't go to Grenoble, second car was perfect.―Anonymous

Lots of cars but they can see you enough time ago and there is space. At mid afternoon in summer it's in the shadow of the tree and the sun is not in your eyes.―Anonymous

Bon spot et temps d'attente correct, où demander à chaque personne qui s'arrête à la pompe.―Anonymous

We were 3 groups of 2 because the bus to come back in Grenoble was canceled. All the groups can find a car in the 20 minutes.
I came back here two years later, and same come back, it's very easy.

From here, easy to get to the Peage, and then either go to Lyon or Valence.Going to Valence is good if you want to go south.

Right here you can ask the people for taking you to the peage/gas station just like 5 - 10 km farther the A48, better than waiting with a sign.―Anonymous

Here many cars get into the highway to Lyon-Paris. There is enough space for them to park with safety. Somebody may took you to the petrol station just before the peage, and once you are there, you will travel fast.―Anonymous

As correctly mentioned, to go South you should first go North to the A49 and then through Valence. This is a difficult spot because there are cars coming from and going to all directions at the intersection, and there is no place to pull over on the ramp to the highway. So take a pick on which traffic light to stand by and good luck!―Anonymous
