Very isolated spot, 4 cars coming in 15 minutes on a Saturday. But we did get picked up by the 4th car. We were 2 people.―Anonymous

Good spot for going South from Lille. It was slowish traffic but a Dutch couple picked us up and took us to Vierzon. Not to bad to get from Lille, about an hour―Anonymous

Single male with a huge smile. It had a lot of traffic on the morning. I waited at the very end of the station to be able to see all the cars exiting. Luckily Naim took me to the north of Paris. I was holding a cardboard " A1 Paris"―whiterabbit

Single male, July 2026. I started waiting around 09.15. Lots of cars, and a small place to stop. Actually good stop specially in the morning. I waited 30 mins with a sign "Aire de Phalempin - A1". Thank you Anna!!―whiterabbit

we 3 were trying to get to Calais/Dover. a very nice person from Lille took us to this station from the A1. it was much better than the A1 as all traffic was going the right direction. we met lots of people who were going to England via the ferry. eventually, we were offered a lift onwards to Aire de St Hilaire Cottes, the last fuel stop before the Calais ferry, so we took it.―Alifeee

it's ok. we were trying to go to Calais, but most people were not taking the A26. Most were going to Lille, or Netherlands, or Germany, etc. good pizza.―Alifeee

We (2 people) were there on a Sunday, so everything was closed and we only found a ride that didn't go that far. We did find that pretty quick though and I imagine it's a pretty good spot on business days.As it was for us, it was a small bunnyhop and we were definitely lucky cause there were not many cars, so I'm not rating it super high.

An acceptable starting point, given it's in a big city and pretty easy to reach. There isn't really a place to stop except the red light, but that worked just fine. It was mostly locals but we did end up getting a ride to a nearby reststop. Not ideal but at least we were on the highway. We were two people with a sign to Paris.―thebeekeeper

Quite small gas station, on a late Saturday afternoon it had less traffic than a minor country road. After 1 hour of hitching another hitchhiker, a guy, showed up. We decided to take turns of 30 minutes to have equal chances. He got a ride just as his time was about to finish. We waited for some time more and only managed to get a short ride to a small gas station slightly off the highway (that in the explanation of the driver it looked like a more decent place to hitch).―Ewelinalucy

Waited here for two hours without anyone even stopping. This place might be better if you speak french and feel comfortable confronting drivers directly. When we finally got picked up, though, it was a direct ride to Paris, so, I guess it was worth the wait.―Anonymous

I got a lift to Paris in less than 30 min but I was quite lucky because the man who picked me up was an hitchhiker when he was young and he travelled all over the world :)―Anonymous
