moved here after waiting closer to the Ferry Port roundabout for a bit. Got a lift after an hour or so with someone. They'd bought the wrong ticket and had no leftover money so we paid for some of the new car ticket. c'est la vie. While on the ferry we asked for lifts to Paris, but nobody was going (nor did it seem like anyone else but our lift would have picked us up from the street - maybe lucky!), so we went to Lille to stay the night. Successfully asked someone on the street to stay at their place.

it's an ok spot for cars to stop. we were not waiting long. our lift was not going very far, but took us to a roundabout on the A1. In retrospect, we should have asked them to drive an extra 10 minutes to a service station, as the roundabout (and nearby toll booth) were not good for us to hitch from (3 people)―Alifeee

Very good spot. Got picked to Lille within 10 minutes. Perfect to stand in between the lanes.―Jurichezzbmx

Lot of passing cars, lots of belges and germans. I just wanted to go to Lilles and found easily a car. I didn't want to go there at first but we got a bit of a miscomprehension at Vemars so I stopped there and I'm thinking of using this spot again if I ever want to speedrun to germany and further north lol.―Anonymous

Nice spot to go north if the door is open (it was in my case). A lot of local cars but it is possible to find someone for lille―Anonymous

Two young people (one woman one man) going north, trying to get a ride to Dijon or Strasbourg. After standing a while, we started asking people directly who stopped at the red light. Unfortunately, everybody was going either to Paris or Clermont-Ferrand. Ended up getting a ride to Lille instead.―Celine

We (2 people) were there on a Sunday, so everything was closed and we only found a ride that didn't go that far. We did find that pretty quick though and I imagine it's a pretty good spot on business days.As it was for us, it was a small bunnyhop and we were definitely lucky cause there were not many cars, so I'm not rating it super high.

An acceptable starting point, given it's in a big city and pretty easy to reach. There isn't really a place to stop except the red light, but that worked just fine. It was mostly locals but we did end up getting a ride to a nearby reststop. Not ideal but at least we were on the highway. We were two people with a sign to Paris.―Anonymous

Not incredible but not that bad for a spot to exit a big city. But we’ve been super lucky and have been taken after 1h by a Flixbus straight to Paris !!!―Anonymous

It seemed to be the best spot (under the bridge bus stop). Waited 2h till someone picked me up and went to Lille. Lots of homeless people around the place.―Baulius
