We waited with a sign just before the entrance to the gas station. Good visibility and lots of traffic, but also lots of local traffic...―Anonymous

We got stuck at this gas station on Sunday evening from 18:00 till 22:00…then we decided to go to sleep behind the nearby restaurant. We started hitchhiking on Monday morning at 6 am and we were picked up by nice driver at 8 am who drove us at least to the following gas station (18 km away - we are stuck here now…so for 2,5 hours and still waiting while writing this review). We are two girls. Trying hitchhing with/without a sign and even approaching people as we are so desperate. Nothing seems to work. We wanted to go to direction of Norimberk. Preferably Regensburg, Pilsen and final destination Prague. This never happend to us. Ususally we wait like 30 minutes. Münich seems like a very bad place for hitchhiking as we were stuck at another gas station on north (aiming south) for 3,5 hours.―Nicolette

Saturday in April, either the A8 or A9 was good for my route to Belgium. Most cars were full or drove into Munich. Eventually, a business man took me in direction of Ulm.―Anonymous

was okay. I started very early and the station was still quiet empty. I stood in front of the pertrolstation entrance with a sign saying Austria and Budapest and talked to people as well. Long time waiting what so ever―Paullllle

I asked the first person if he could take me to Germany. He was super kind (a croatian man) and he gave me a great ride to Rosenheim―Niklas

Verry good spot lots of cars.Walked from the train station Hegyeshalom to here in about a hour - quite a long distance but made sense for us because we had the Hungary pass.

we got dropped at a petrol station here and tried to hitch to innsbruck for a few hours, with no luck. If you plan to go south from here you are much better to get a ride up to the next station, about 15kms, which gets all the traffic from germany going south.. from there it was easy.―Anonymous

Waited here on an Wednesday noon more than an hour trying to get a ride to Nürnberg or Augsburg. Ended up going to the next gas station in valley, which was worse because less traffic. Lot of international traffic, especially for the skiing season. Maybe a nice hop-off for far-way travels (Netherlands e. g.), although most of the cars are full.―Santa klaus
