We got stuck at this gas station on Sunday evening from 18:00 till 22:00…then we decided to go to sleep behind the nearby restaurant. We started hitchhiking on Monday morning at 6 am and we were picked up by nice driver at 8 am who drove us at least to the following gas station (18 km away - we are stuck here now…so for 2,5 hours and still waiting while writing this review). We are two girls. Trying hitchhing with/without a sign and even approaching people as we are so desperate. Nothing seems to work. We wanted to go to direction of Norimberk. Preferably Regensburg, Pilsen and final destination Prague. This never happend to us. Ususally we wait like 30 minutes. Münich seems like a very bad place for hitchhiking as we were stuck at another gas station on north (aiming south) for 3,5 hours.

Saturday in April, either the A8 or A9 was good for my route to Belgium. Most cars were full or drove into Munich. Eventually, a business man took me in direction of Ulm.

Waited just in front of the gas station exit with a sign Salzburg and OST, got a ride to the petrol station on the A8. Very easy for cars to pull in and lots of traffic at 9am on a Saturday morning

there is a massive petrol station here, with a mcdonalds also, where it was very easy to get a lift south, to innsbruk, austria (& prob. also easy to go east to austria (wien, linz) also.

gut um nach mÃ¼nchen-city via A8 zu kommen. einfach daumen raushalten. altenativ menschen an der tankstelle anquatschen.

good to get to munich-city via A8. just spread yout thumb or ask people at the petrolstation.

Service area and gas station "Irschenberg". Its off the Motorway and only one for both directions (east/south and westt/north).

Dont get dropped of here if u want to go further towards Munich!!!
If so, then dont wait at the petrol station. Go to the roundabout on the other side of the bridge.
If its late u can slepp here easily either in McD or in ur tent ;)

Hitched just before the roundabout in direction Munich, took only 10min for a ride to Nurnberg :)
