For whatever reason it was hard to find someone willing to take me to Nürnberg. I ended up switching between talking to people and standing at the end of the parking just thumbing. Eventuelley someone stopped there. People can see you pretty well there and it's safe to stop just before the on-ramp of the motorway.

Tried to hitchhhike to Graz for 3h, lots of full cars and many refusals. Should be a good spot but not many friendly people. Ended up going to Vienna.

I arrived late around 20:30. I asked around but had no luck. So i slept in my hammock in the forest near by. Next morning i started to ask around at 7 in the morning. Took 3 hours to get a ride. But the place is good. Many cars and trucks.

Sign Eggenfelden. Roadworks. Walked form the highway exit to this place where cars drive slowly and can pullover between traffic beacons.

The spot itself is great. I was trying to get onto the A3, so it took me half an hour before a car going that way eventually stopped for me.

Quickly got a ride with a family going home to Passau. Great spot for getting onto the A3 highway.

waited at the end of the station without a sign, took five minutes for a truck driver to stop who would've gone all the way to zagreb

A lot of trucks stop here for a customs and overnight sleep. But after asking everyone on a parking, I decided to try to hhike on a side of the road, as a speed is very slow and it a lot of space for car to stop. After 20 min there got a ride in the direction Nürnberg to the next gas station.

here is a good spot but on a saturday in summer there were many families and cars with no space. there was also a vaction driving ban for truckers so i couldnt ask them for rides either. i tried thumbing from the end of the station but i eventually got a lift talking to some hippie looking people going to graz. a lot of the drivers who had no space were going to vienna or elsewhere in austria.

a bit sketchy to stand here, try a bit before the traffic lights on the east side of the crossroads, you will get half the traffic but its easier for cars to pull in and you are more visible. with a sign for passau i got a lift in no time.

Gas Station on both sides of the autobahn.

Take city bus no 10 towards Schalding rechts der Donau from the city center. Get off underneath the autobahn bridge (can't miss it) and walk up to the gas station via the service road underneath the highway bridge.

not good to travel down the A92 to Munich, nearly any car came, waited for like 3 hours at night, most cars go further the A3 to Nuremberg
