I waited two hours but it was a low traffic day and eventually there was some works on the gas station. Definitely the best place to go west ! Got a ride to Leipzig. If you really want to go to Germany it's completely doable there's a lot of Germans. Actually more than Austrians haha. But you have to talk to them. I waited almost two hours at the exit of the gas station then I decided to talk directly to the gas station and I was offered also a ride by a bus driver for free to Graz at the same moment I asked Hungarian couple with a dutch plate, they were going at the North of Holland but we agree to let them drop me at Leipzig. good to hitchhike to the south (Munich) or north (Berlin) via A9 or to the west (Magdeburg, Hannover, Braunschweig) or east (Dresden) via A14. Just ask people at the Aral-gas station or at McDonald's. There is a train station of the S10 which goes from Halle to Leipzig and back every half an hour (exit Schkeuditz West)―Anonymous
