Great for going to Germany. You can get here from service station going up north using bridge on small road little bit north of that place. Getting from the "northern" service station to bridge is easy as there is small road connecting it to the service station but if you don't want to REALY go around while going from the bridge to this spot you will need to walk a litte next to a highway, just keep that in mind. If you are brave enough you can try to run through the motorway but I don't recommend that―Autostopeks

It wasn't that good for me. But I had a sign for Hannover, lots of people going to Hamburg or direction Bremen. Lots of full cars and old couples who don't want to atop. Asking around should work better though.―friki

nice big petrol station including restaurant and burger king (called Aalbek). many people are stopping here, so it should be easy to find someone going in your direction (in my case: hamburg-hannover). short advice: there's another petrol station before entering hamburg but there's far LESS traffic stopping so you should choose this one. ;)―Anonymous

After 1,5h got a lift to Kolding (DK)few traffic towards Denmark, mostly cars going to Kiel, but its possible to get to Denmark from here.
