It was Tuesday evening, after 7pm, when I was dropped out here a guy who was going to Schwerin, but then suddenly an awesome african guy took me to Hamburg! Nice spot, but not so much traffic!―AdrianB

Petrol station “Stolpe Süd”. This is a pretty decent-sized rest area (with showers and stuff) half way between Hamburg and Berlin.Lots of traffic running into Berlin (and Polish cars going beyond). Even well into the late evening/beginning night, you should be able to get a lift to Berlin from here.

It was 15:30 on a weekday and there were very little cars. I asked everybody at the gas station for Hamburg and found a ride halfway there after 30min, but many cars also go to other directs―Anonymous

Very good spot to get dropped to Hamburg if you ask ppl around (Hamburg plates start with HH).I personally was too optimistic and asked people if they were going more North of Hamburg (Like Kiel or Flensburg) but after a hour someone said he could drop me to a gas station North of Hamburg and I settled for it.
Also I saw 2 others Hitchhikers in this gestation and not even in the same group, it's like seeing a shooting star
