There's traffic lights here so you need to get lucky that a car stops and that you are standing in the right place to be able to make eye contact with the driver, they can't stop for long if the light turns green, but they can take a right and pick you up in de carpark.―Jossa

For Berlin it´s much better to start from Fackenburger Allee/Lohmühle and go via Hamburg!In St. Hubertus wait up to 2 hours.

We didnt have luck to get a ride to Rostock, we waited more than one hour and finally gave up. Lots of local traffic and not so much space for cars to stop―Mileagainst

It took me less then 15 minuts to get out of this place. is a great place if u are landing or departing from lubeck/hamburg airport. the way to arrive to this place from the airport is simple, turn left at teh exit of the airport , fallow K8 you will walk wulsdorf, turn left at the kindergarden and keep walking untill you reachthe overpass, on the top of the over pass you can choose directions you need to jump the fence.!!there is a bus stop in Wulfsdorf. i manage to get in to poland from here., berlin also good.―Anonymous

Got ride in less than 20min to petrol station between Wismar and Rostock.I recommend to ask people at the station for a lift

the only Gas station directly on the highway between Rostock and Greifswald.It serves both directions but there were more people for direction east. I was ther on a work day noon in winter. There was not super much trafic but some cars would still come. Most people were going to Poland or Stralsund. One person would be driving towards schwerin, one person to magdeburg. Few people were going to Rostock and on a ferry to Denmark. Only few people were going west. It took me 4 hours until a person agreed to take me to Lübeck.
So all in all I´d recomend if you wanna go Stralsund or Poland. If you wanna go further west I'd recomend to get out on one of the parking areas on the highway or to hitch somewhere from rostock. this place sucks.
