Wouldn’t recommend this place not a lot of traffic. Been there a couple of times and the last time I left by train to the next gas station, just 20min by train. Way better place―Anonymous

banger, i find this one reliable to go far into france direction reims. heading northwest, don't bother taking rides shorter than aire du haut-koenigsbourg. there's plenty of ppl going long distances, especially luxembourg/belgium. also loads of german cars.―atlas

not crazy busy, with most traffic to bern. if like me you're trying to go to basel, it's tricky but look out for lucerne (LU) license plates.some international cars (D/I/A/B/NL).

Not so many cars stops here, but it is possible to get a ride by asking people on a parking. I got a ride to a petrol station next to Bern, but you can ask people to bring you to a next petrol station in Prateln on A2/A3.―Anonymous

A guy and a girl on a Thursday afternoon without a sign. After getting there by bus & train and walking about 25min, we stood at the first exit, where you get all the cars going both to the highway or to the petrol station. A lot of cars passed by, but we shortly got a ride to Heidelberg. Seems to be a good spot to go north.―JumpingRabbit

We were three people trying to hitchhike to Pratteln and then to Luzern. Hitchhiking St. Jakob Strasse this way was a bad idea : there is no place for cars to stop and most people just waved back at us or ignored us.We tried to avoid public transportation as it's quite expensive, but we ended up taking a train to chill in Basel city center instead...

Amazing spot. People were asking us where we want to go while we were writing signs. Waited with the signs „Luzern“, „Gotthard“ and „Italy“ for around 40min and got a lift all the way to Como, Italy.―Anonymous

Wanted to go to Germany and than north. After 50 mins the first car to stop took me back to Basel close to the A5. Not the shortest route but better than staying here.―Anonymous

As an exit dweller I don't like this place. There is to much going on with weird driving routes around the place. But you can't argue results. I was gone to Basel in 23mins, so I must rate 5 stars.―Anonymous
