A great spot if you are heading north along A3. For half an hour I was standing with a sign A6 Heilbronn, but nobody stopped. I changed my sign to Nuremberg and immediately car stoped and took me to Wurzburg Nord gas station. From there it will be more chances to go south.―Anonymous

A lot of trucks stop here for a customs and overnight sleep. But after asking everyone on a parking, I decided to try to hhike on a side of the road, as a speed is very slow and it a lot of space for car to stop. After 20 min there got a ride in the direction Nürnberg to the next gas station.―Anonymous

Terribly dangerous for cars to stop and probably illegal, but I didn't have another choice because I only got until here with the ride before. Thankfully somebody took me after only a few minutes.―Anonymous

I asked an Albanian guy who asked to see my ID and whether I was German. He was worried about me delivering drugs, and then being searched by highway police. There are a lot of searches by police this close to the czech border.Found a ride after 12min to Bayrischer Wald, the next big rest stop.

We got a direct ride to Budapest after around 20 minutes. There were many peoples at the gas refill or at the parking. Great spot to continue in direction of Passau, Linz, Wien and Budapest I would say.―BillFrancis
