Did not seem like there was a lot of traffic, but a guy offered me a lift quickly. Stood at the exit of the autohof 100 m before the intersection, there cars can pull over in the driveways. No space to stand or for cars to pull over after intersection.―Frederik

To anyone aiming for this spot, be it the petrol station or the side of the road : go somewhere else !I got extremely lucky, my driver was local and did a lot of hitchhiking. There are currently roadworks on the highway, so if you want to go to Hamburg this is a bad spot.
He suggested going further south, near the beginning of the A111 highway.

DONT go too late we are 2 guys we started at 1700 with a hamburg sign it was mostly family cars but eventually we got picked up, it was also quite a long walk to the gas station, we took a train to heligensee and walked 6 kilometers. This is a quite big stop with a petrol station an a big parking lot. First I asked some people at the parking lot which was not really sucsessful. There were not too much cars and I decided to go to the petrol station. The peolpe drove in various directions and after a while of asking I saw a man filling his car with LPG. I've never seen this before and talked to him. Although he said he smokes in his car I got a lift to Herzsprung near Wittstock.―rubntf97

I arrived here by bus, because the highway were under construction at Hohenzollern and Berlin-Westend. As I said I want to Hamburg beforehand, a older man told me that this place would be better than those closer to the center of Berlin. After a while I had to realize that this wasn't the best choice, because the cars accelerace fast and have no real option to stop especcially due to the no-stopping-area coming after 500m. At first I just tried it by thumb but after some time I found a piece of paper laying in bush which I used as a sign. A young pair stopped after some time and took me to the Stolper rest stop even though they wanted to go to Berlin Spandau. We talked about the Youtube series called "The Race" which was the reason why they stopped.―rubntf97

A small petrol station in the western ring of the A10. Not so much traffic but at least no Problem if you get to the west or to the south. I waited 17 min for a lift to Hannover.―Anonymous

Most of the cars here are going towards Berlin. There's also great deal of locals. We wanted to get out of the city towards Rostock, and after 2,5h guy driving to Hamburg took us about 90km away.―Wolak
