perhaps it’s still really good for getting to the north and they’re is space for cars to stop

Got off here from a lift to Hamburg thinking i might be able to catch a car going north, skipping the city, but that was the worst decision of the day. Almost all traffic going to Hamburg only, and few filled family cars going north, so ended up jumping on a car to Hamburg and was dropped off at an entrance to the A7 heading north which was a much better idea and got a lift north instantly from there. So if you are going north, dont fight it and go to Hamburg first.―Frederik
